Our core beliefs

The scripture of the Hebrew Old and Greek New Testament, the Bible, is the final, supreme authority in all matters of faith, conduct and doctrine.

Jesus Christ, God the Son, born of a virgin, became God in the flesh. He is fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for our sins, rose bodily and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus Christ, conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit of God, is the Son of God.

Man was created by God in His image. Adam, the first man, voluntarily transgressed God's word and sinned, resulting in spiritual, physical and eternal death. Through Christ, God provided redemption and new birth.

Man is saved by grace through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God and not the result of good works.

At the moment a person repents and trusts in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, Jesus comes to live in him by the Holy Spirit.

Given at Pentecost, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was sent by God to empower man to preach the gospel of peace and reconciliation with Him to all men.

The Holy Spirit manifests His power in the believer through gifts given to build the body of Christ, sanctify believers and demonstrate the validity of the gospel.

When Jesus ascended, He gave gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip and mature His body, the church.

Healing the sick was illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, was included in His commission to His disciples and is provided for in the atonement.

God created man to know, love and serve Him in this present world and to live with Him forever in heaven.
